Even though a significant amount of our sites were offline this Father’s Day Weekend, those staying with us still made the campground feel full of life and joy.
Due to the amount of rain the Champlain Valley Region has received during these past weeks, some of our sites were a bit wetter than usual. In order to preserve the look and quality of our sites, we sadly had to take a significant amount of them offline. With some landscaping done by our maintenance staff and the great weather these past couple of days, all of the sites will be in good condition and ready for this upcoming weekend. The amount of sites we had to mark as ”unavailable to book,” this past weekend, made the campground appear as though something besides campers was missing. However, upon a further inspection, the same Lone Pine spirit was still there. As the weather turned around it gave way to a better setting for our weekend activities.
Candy Bar bingo (one of the winners is pictured in the featured image) was fun as always, since it is a great way to get the entire family involved in some friendly competition. Meanwhile, there where games of all sorts offered in the Rec Hall. From Battleship and chess, to cornhole and ping-pong both inside and outside of the Rec Hall were full of laughs, smiles, and a pretty intense game of checkers. A dance followed later in the evening. The next morning, we held a Father’s Day Breakfast, which gave thanks in all of the dads who were in attendance and their breakfast was free. Overall, there were more than 100 people who attended the breakfast that sunday, and it turned out to be a warm start to the day as the “weekenders” unfortunately departed.
